"It seems like we are both pathetically insignificant, and miraculously important at the same time...
...Whether you more strongly feel the monumental significance of tiny things or the massive void between
them depends on who you are, and how your brain chemistry is balanced at a particular moment. We walk
around with miniature, emotional versions of the universe inside of us...
...It's reassuring to know that no matter how depressingly bleak or ridiculously momentous we feel, the
universe, judging by its current structure, seems well aware of both extremes."
”Here I am, here I am, here I am.”
”So glad you are, so glad you are, so glad you are”
"Hitachi Seaside Park is a sprawling 470 acre park located in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki, Japan, that features vast flower gardens including millions of daffodils, 170 varieties of tulips, and an estimated 4.5 million baby blue eyes (Nemophila). The sea on blue flowers blooms once annually around April in an event referred to as the “Nemophila Harmony.”
"Don’t roll off your spool or your brick pigtail will break, or the breezes will pick the flames from your craw, or the black starfish will flow from your tubes and tear with his claw the first-born off the table." That was the first message I received from Art. Two days later Art was in Cologne and we were able to resume our enjoyable collaboration. -Max Ernst (Landscape With Wheatgerm, 1936, pictured above)
